A slow burn in all the right ways - worthy of its name

Don't let the initial very cherry-forward 'out of the box' smell put you off. When you light this candle, you should commit to noticing the layers of scents over time, much like the drink. The first minutes temper the cherry sweetness as the woody cedar comes through, which then develops into something almost vanilla-like. After a while, frankincense actually does emerge with slightly citrus earthy notes, almost as if it was burning orange zest, and then the cherry comes back to round off the layers. Very pleasant pairing while drinking smoky lapsang souchong tea if an Old Fashioned is not on hand.
